Complete and return our Volunteer Application to the chapter office via mail, email or fax.
STEP 2 - COMPLETE ONLINE VOLUNTEER TRAINING (MAKE-A-WISH UNIVERSITY)
Our mandatory Make-A-Wish University training covers an overview of Make-A-Wish® and volunteer responsibilities.
STEP 3 - BACKGROUND CHECK
Due to the nature of our work, certain volunteer positions must successfully complete a criminal background check every three years. Make-A-Wish does not employ or utilize as a volunteer any individual who has been convicted of a crime that (a) victimizes children, (b) is sexual in nature, or (c) involves violence, fraud or significant theft. Once you have completed the preliminary steps and your application has been approved, you will receive an electronic link to complete a criminal background check.
STEP 4 - GET INVOLVED!
Volunteer paperwork takes about several weeks to process and approve. After your paperwork is processed, you will be contacted with detailed information as it relates to the next steps based on the opportunities you selected.
