In October, Make-A-Wish® Philadelphia, Northern Delaware, & Susquehanna Valley will be hosting two Walk For Wishes events! The first event will be held on October 9 at America’s first zoo, the Philadelphia Zoo. The second event will be held on October 30 in the Susquehanna Valley at Zoo America in Hershey. Both walks will be wild adventures that will celebrate wishes that have already been granted, while raising funds for future wishes. Below, you can learn all the steps to register your team and start fundraising!
After clicking on the blue register button on either the Philadelphia or Susquehanna Valley Walk For Wishes page, you can choose to “Start a New Team,” “Join an Existing Team,” or “Join as an Individual.” Spearheading your own team is a great way to join in the FUNdraising! If you choose to select “Start a New Team,” you will need to tell us more information about your team, including your team name and your team’s goal. On the next step of the registration process, you can choose your own personal fundraising goal. Make sure to aim high with both your personal and team goal! You can show your teammates how it’s done by donating now and getting the fun started!
The next step of registration is to provide more information about you as a participant. This is as simple as registering as a new member by creating a username and password, or logging in if you have already created access information. Then, you will need to read and sign a waiver after understanding the terms of the agreement. Finally, on the next page, you will have a complete summary of your registration and current donation!
Calling all Team Captains: In our next #WildWednesday post, you can learn “How to Navigate the Participant Center,” and learn great tips on sending emails to your team and updating your team page. We would love for you to post any fundraising ideas or questions you have on our social media pages, or tag us (@philadelphiawish on Facebook; @MakeAWishPHL on all others)! Or, you can send any questions to us at email@example.com. Thank you for all your fundraising efforts and we look forward to seeing you at the Zoos!
