Blue Bell, PA - US Restaurants, Inc., a Blue Bell based company and franchisee of 34 area Burger King restaurants in Bucks, Montgomery, Chester counties and South Jersey, recently contributed $100,000 to Make-A-Wish®, the area’s largest wish granting organization serving children with life-threatening medical conditions.  Since 2008, US Restaurants has partnered with Make-A-Wish through a spring paper star campaign engaging customers for donations as well as canister collections at Burger King registers.  Due to their ongoing generous support, US Restaurants was recently named “Benefactor of the Year” at Make-A-Wish’s annual recognition event. Dennis Heron, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Northern Delaware & Susquehanna Valley commented about the partnership, “Partners like US Restaurants are vital to Make-A-Wish because we are completely dependent on contributions to fulfill our mission.  We are additionally thankful for their dedicated employees and customers who rally around their annual campaigns, enabling us to help many seriously ill children living in our community.” Pictured in the photo (left to right): Travis Diffin, District Manager, Liz Dougherty, Marketing Coordinator, Mary Jean Moroz, Administrative Assistant, Dennis Heron, president & CEO of Make-A-Wish, Steve Lewis, President, Rebekah Opelski, Assistant Store Manager, Greg Winans, Vice President, and Ebby Essien, General Manager.

About Make-A-Wish®:
Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. According to a 2011 U.S. study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true has positive impacts on the health of children. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family. Headquartered in Phoenix, Make-A-Wish is one of the world's leading children's charities, serving children in every community in the United States and its territories. With the help of generous donors and more than 28,000 volunteers, Make-A-Wish grants a wish somewhere in the country every 35 minutes. It has granted more than 270,000 wishes since its inception in 1980; more than 14,800 in 2015 alone. Make-A-Wish® Philadelphia, Northern Delaware & Susquehanna Valley serves Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montgomery, Perry and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania and New Castle County in Delaware.
