MALVERN, Pa. (August 26, 2016) – Mustangs from 1964-1/2 to 2017 filled Maple Grove Raceway on August 13th for the 8th annual AmericanMuscle Car Show. AM2016 was packed full of customized Mustangs, hardcore enthusiasts, popular vendors, and even a few automotive celebrities, who all braved the heat to make for one of the most memorable shows. As always, charity was a large portion of the show which made for an awesome car reveal and raising $60,200 benefiting Make-A-Wish®.

AM2016 wasn’t just about celebrating America’s favorite pony car, it was highly focused on raising money for one of the nation’s greatest charities. AM2016 helped to raise $60,200 for Make-A-Wish®, while also packing in a few automotive themed surprises. Mustang enthusiast and Make-A-Wish®, Illinois Chapter, recipient Austin Fox was presented with a reveal of his AmericanMuscle overhauled Mustang, which was completely customized inside and out. The journey that brought Austin to Maple Glen Raceway, just south of Reading, PA, was an amazing one.
Like many teenage boys, Austin Fox has a love of cars. In particular this Chicago area 18 year-old is an enthusiast of Detroit muscle cars. So, when one of his father’s friends began planning a classic car build for Austin, he started reaching out to some companies he has used in his own auto repairs and restorations. AmericanMuscle was one of those companies. The planning process eventually led to a decision to modify and upgrade a more modern sports car than the vintage one that was initially planned. When that car turned out to be a 2005 Ford Mustang, the specialty of AmericanMuscle, the Philadelphia area company decided to get even more involved.
From getting a special factory Ford color, set of RTR Tech 7 Wheels, Airlift Suspension System, and a long list of other mods; Austin’s 2005 V6 Mustang was totally transformed into a one-off Mustanger’s dream. The late-morning “reveal” of Austin’s awesome car was a very special moment. Company CEO Steven Voudouris, along with his brother, and co-founder, Andrew, were on hand to emcee the presentation. AmericanMuscle’s lead video host Justin Dugan also played a central role in the delivery of the black sports car to Austin.
AmericanMuscle has partnered with Make-A-Wish® in the past too. It was just last year, at the 7th Annual 2015 AmericanMuscle Car Show that the company raised $52,890 for the charity, and granted Johnathan’s wish with another incredible mustang make over.
6 other Make-A-Wish® recipients from Philadelphia region chapters were also on hand at the day’s events. These youngsters, along with their siblings and parents, were treated to a convertible parade ride down the Maple Grove drag strip before the exhibition races began.
