Lancaster, PA…The community is invited to support Make-A-Wish®, the area’s largest wish granting organization serving local children, during the annual Meter Buster Christmas Display at the home of Karen and Thom Miller, 49 Longfellow Drive in Lancaster, PA.  Running from November 26 through January 1, the display will feature a winter wonderland of over 30,000 colored bulbs and holiday scenes.   Now in its 4th year benefiting Make-A-Wish, the community may view the display and make a donation via a donation box on the couple’s property.  Over the past three years the Christmas Display has raised approximately $7500 for Make-A-Wish and has helped fulfill wishes for area children.

Dennis Heron, President & CEO of Make-A-Wish commented about the fundraiser, “Make-A-Wish is delighted to include the Miller family among its generous and loyal friends making wishes come true for kids whose lives have been traumatized by serious illnesses.  Thanks to this very special couple who work tirelessly on this amazing light show, we are able to touch the lives of sick children living in our community.” For more information about the Meter Buster Christmas Display, please visit: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Meter-Buster-Christmas-Display/190756176605

About Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Northern Delaware and Susquehanna Valley:

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. According to a 2011 U.S. study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true has positive impacts on the health of children. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illness, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family. Headquartered in Phoenix, Make-A-Wish is one of the world's leading children's charities, serving children in every community in the United States and its territories. It is with our generous donors and more than 25,000 volunteers, that Make-A-Wish is able to grant a wish somewhere in the country every 38 minutes. It has granted more than 250,000 wishes since its inception in 1980. Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Northern Delaware & Susquehanna Valley serves Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montgomery, Perry and Philadelphia counties in Pennsylvania and New Castle County in Delaware.
