Each year this concert is held in memory of Jonathan Martin Beech, a young man who his valiant four-year battle with brain cancer when he was 15. Jonathan was granted his wish for an Alaskan Cruise in 2006 and his family remembers the trip as "a fun-filled adventurous week of great respite — a most precious gift of a wonderful time together as a family of four".
Prior to his passing, Jonathan was worried that he would never be able to thank all of the organizations and groups and foundations who had traveled the long journey with him, providing support to him and his family. His parents promised him that they would do it on his behalf, through an annual concert, and that promise gave him peace and consolation.
Each year the concert designates one of the organizations that helped Jonathan through his treatment as one of the charity recipients, and this year we are honored to be chosen again, and we are thankful for the generosity of the Beech family and grateful that we were able to grant Jonathan's wish. Please join us for a day of celebration and help grant the wishes of local children with critical illnesses.
