Dear Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley,
Words can’t begin to describe how grateful I am for all that you have done for me. My trip to Hawaii with my family was an amazing and unforgettable experience. During my treatment I had no idea what Make-A-Wish was until one of my nurses mentioned it to me and asked what my wish would be. In fact, I thought that only kids who did not have great odds received a wish. Once she explained it to me I was amazed. What a wonderfully selfless and giving foundation Make-A-Wish is! You change the lives of so many sick and suffering children.
I had been struggling emotionally and physically after my battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and I could not seem to find clarity in my life. My trip to Hawaii was a huge positive step in my healing process. It truly was the light at the end of a very dark tunnel. I am so thankful for you and I will be dedicating the rest of my life to giving back to Make-A-Wish.
I felt so special and loved. Every moment of my trip was a memorable one; driving in a limo for the first time, meeting the pilot and seeing the cock-pit, getting sent a sundae from someone sitting in first class, receiving a beautiful lei when I first arrived, tanning and relaxing by the pool and on the beach, parasailing, ziplining, snorkeling, driving on the Road to Hana, and attending a phenomenal luau with VIP seats. It was the most incredible week and one that I will remember for the rest of my life. Please know that I am forever grateful to Make-A-Wish for your extreme generosity, hard work, compassion, and love. I look forward to being in touch with you soon.
With lots of love and gratitude,
